Allyson Felix
Allyson Nicole Felix was born on November 18 the 18th of November, 1985, in Los Angeles. Felix's father Paul Felix is an ordained minister in the Master's Seminary, Sun Valley. And her mother Marlean Felix is a teacher at Balboa Magnet Primary School. Felix was an athlete of the highest level and developed a passion of sprinting while during her time at Los Angeles Baptist High School. In only 10 weeks following her initial attempt, she finished second in the 200 meter race at the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. In 2003 Felix completed her high school graduation having signed a professional contract with the sports company Adidas before enrolling in the University of Southern California where she was studying elementary education. Felix was awarded her first Olympic award at 2004's Summer Olympics In Athens Greece. Felix ran 200 meters in 22.18s which set an all-time junior world record. At the 2005 Helsinki World Championships, Felix became the world's youngest champion for the 200m. The following year, she won her title by beating Jamaican adversary Veronica Campbell. Felix was a regular competitor at Beijing, London Rio de Janeiro, as well as Tokyo. She consistently placed in the top three of the events.
